A "congregation" that has nothing whatsoever to do with "God." Sounds shocking. No - more than that - unbelievable!
How can you be a "congregation" without God, without Him being the very center of everything that makes us a church.
But let's face it. Is God really the center of us?
Is He the center of our lives?
A long time ago God gave His first "congregation" some commandments that described what it meant to be the people of God. Those commandments were later summarised by Jesus in to ...
Love the Lord your God with your heart, mind, soul, strength - your everything, your entire life.
Jesus called us - His people - to have Him as the very center of our lives, our #1 priority.
Is He?
I'm sure we are not "godless" - but before we criticise those that want to be godless - perhaps we need to look at ourselves, and do some honest evaluation. Where on the scale are we, between godless and God-FULL!
